East County Oak is a timber framing shop based in Athens, Georgia. We specialize in designing and hand crafting traditional timber frames. We also provide fine carpentry services and custom woodworking and furniture.

It’s always a joy working with western red cedar. The mass of the 10x timbers works well with the site, and the king post truss matches decorative gable trusses on the house. The tongue and groove roof is also cedar. Accompanied by a copper roof and gutters, this will only look more amazing with age. This was a great project, and look forward to visiting it in the future.
